  We live in an age of many choices and no certain path. Take surfing the Net as an example. Several years ago this would usually leave me with more questions than answers. Which articles could be relied upon? What product would truly suit me? Could I trust that offer, or was it too good to be true?

Making the wrong choice can be costly and time consuming. But uncertainty about decisions close to the heart is much more alarming.  How can you be certain whether your child’s unacceptable behaviour needs some unconditional TLC or a firm hand? Would changing your job make you happier, and or if not how can you make the job you have more comfortable?

Nowadays, that uncertainty is largely behind me:  I can receive answers to these questions instantly because I am the proud possessor of a rare skill:  I can soul channel.

Soul channelling is a form of channelling that is currently little known but is certain to become popular in the decades ahead when ordinary people without any special psychic gifts discover that channelling information as you need it is a lot more reliable than depending on tarot reading, or dream to receive assistance from the mysterious world of spirit.  It is a form of conversing with soul guides about everyday matters as they occur.

Unlike channelling the higher self, this skill it is very practical. While higher self information is fascinating, it is often too broad to be of help much when it comes to practicalities. It tends to give the bigger picture without reference to the time, space and realities of life you live in.

I once knew a woman who received a message from her higher self that she should “go to Queensland” in answer to a query about where she might find more work aligned to her life purposes. 

In awe of such spiritual command, she sold her business and moved north only to find that she had no idea what work she look for or how she was to earn an income.

She did not realize that these important issues which rightly belong to the here and now of life had not been covered. And when she then asked for guidance on the “right work” there seemed to be a resounding silence. It took her many years and a lot of wasted money to finally find a niche that suited her.

No wonder that people become excited by higher self insights, but end up ignoring them, or feeling betrayed by spirit when following the advice does not work out.

I was later to learn that it is the role of the higher self is to assist a person to explore her life purposes by bringing the situations she needs to do that, but that the higher self does not decide what specific forms the journey will take. That is the province of the personality self who is in a position to know what will suit the whole of the self at a particular time.

While soul channelling cannot make decisions for you, it is a marvellously effective way to minimize costly mistakes and frustration once you have decided what your dreams and goals are. I use soul channelling to sense when and where I should act each day, to call up relevant information when I need it, and to forewarn myself of immediate obstacles in a chosen path. 

This skill makes life much easier, but by far the most exciting soul project for me, has been learning how to write a first novel simply by asking my soul guides for instructions! After I had finished it, I Googled creative writing sites and discovered I had covered all bases. It's not the greatest novel, but I now know how to go about it, and I am now using those teaching for more ambitious writing dreams
