What made you start painting?
Topaze Designs all came about after a car accident that left me in a lot of pain and unfortunately lead me to that dark place called to depression. I needed a Life Change but did'nt really know how to go about getting it or even what it was that I wanted. My Daughter suggested that I try seeing a Life Coach after all I had nothing to lose, which I did and over the months she helped me discover what I wanted to do and to discover "ME" which lead to maybe wanting to do Interior Decorating and also why not do my own paintings for my future customers. Good Idea and guess what the Art turned into it' s own Business where I now hold Workshops for Adults and Children. I also gave Group Coaching a go because it was time to talk to others about me and also learn about others and how they coped with their life journey. From the Group Coaching I met a lovely lady named Heidi Cornelissen of Completely Human[also a life coach] and became great friends and Business Partners of Creative Art & Life Coaching Workshops which are held in Roleystone, these workshops have become so popular that we know hold them Mid-week at Cambridge Function Centre in Wembley.
Why Abstract Art?
For me it's all about the colour and that then leads to all sorts of wild and wonderful things.
What does your Workshop offer that others dont?
Relaxed atmosphere, no pressure, lots of fun and laughter and yes you will go home with a finished piece of Artwork.
What is the first thing you'll tell people who are scared to paint?
No need to be scared there are no wrong's in my Workshops.
Can anyone Paint?
Yes anyone can paint just believe and it will happen. Don't believe in "I Can't" you can! How does your Art make you Feel? Calm, proud and in the right place. What Materials do you use? I use Acrylic paints I find that they are easy to use and very forgiving and you can paint over them and use it to your advantage, canvas, linen , masks, texture painting, pastels and melting wax crayons, rollers, brushes anything and everything if it works use it, don't change it. How has Art changed your Life?
It has changed my life Greatly, I believe I'm a better calmer more understanding and very happy person who has had the opportunity to have many Art Exhibitions and Group Exhibitions and it gives me great joy and peace of mind at being able to help other's in their Painting Journey. It is the Best Feeling!
